Historical Services was formed in October of 2004. It was designed around the idea that small museums, archives and individuals
sometimes need help or services on a part time or contract basis.
The
owner, Greg Jackson, is a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, having served for twenty years in various places around the country
and around the world. He is an experienced manager and held military specialties in
program management, instructing and curriculum develeopment.
Greg’s
experience is in the museum and public history fields and has much experience researching in private archives (some of
which were in real need of organizing). Understanding that small archives, museums
and individuals don’t always have the financial resources to hire a full time organizer, archivist or research staff,
Greg decided to offer these services on a part-time and as-needed basis.
